What do you think of Tumblr? I've set up an account...should I start up over there? This is the first service I've seen that is cool enough that it could motivate me to stop using MT.

looks fine, but since i tested neither MT nor Tumblr i can't say too much about it. hosted blogs seem limited to me in design and functionality, besides you might not always have the complete control over your content. on the other hand you don't have to care for all the setup of functions etc., because somebody else does for you.
Hmm. These things are true. But I think the thing that will keep me from wanting to use it is the lack of a comment function. I realize now that that's sort of the whole point...but I missed that aspect on the first look. And in spite of the mechanical annoyances that can arise from having comments open, I'd rather chance it and have the ability to carry on a conversation.

Yeah you betcha. I've been thinking about redoing them sometime...but they'll definitely stay. I've decided not to move from this format because I don't really want to give up comments, and I also don't want to run two blog-type thingies. So I'll just have to keep putting up with MT.
