Ah. Not to suggest that I'm NOT living under a rock, because I am; but anyway: Jon Stewart (do you ever watch his show? I think it's on CNBC in short bits sometimes). What he criticizes is their inability to ever pose real questions to the politicians they have as guests. They are, as he says, partisan hacks. Stewart himself has a sort of subversive, extremely funny way of critiquing the government. Really the best critical voice we have, I sometimes think; humor is powerful.
actually i must admit that i've never heard of jon stewart before. and while i understood what he was talking about, i didn't get why people are so excited about it. i simply lacked additional informations on who this guy is.
Stewart has a satirical news show that is very funny. There are some polls that suggest that it's where men between 18-35 get their news, which is a little bit scary, since the stories are made up or changed. But at least it's smart humor and he leans left. And he often says in the middle of a "story" that this is not real news, people. That kind of thing.
